Continuing its legacy of excellence in professional education, Navodaya Education Trust proudly announces the establishment of Navodaya Krishi Mahavidyalaya, Raichur, affiliated to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur. The institution has been granted approval to offer the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme with an annual intake of 60 students from the academic year 2026–27.Founded in 1992, Navodaya Education Trust has been a pioneer in transforming the educational landscape of North Karnataka through its diverse institutions in medicine, dentistry, engineering, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, education, and allied sciences. With the addition of agricultural education, the Trust expands its commitment to empowering students in a sector that remains the backbone of India’s economy.
Navodaya Krishi Mahavidyalaya is envisioned as a centre of excellence in agricultural sciences, combining strong academic foundations with practical field exposure, research orientation, innovation, and sustainable farming practices. The programme provides comprehensive education in crop production, soil science, agricultural economics, plant breeding, agricultural engineering, agribusiness management, extension education, and sustainable farming technologies.
