The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Navodaya Medical College successfully organized a Sensitization Programme for ASHA Workers from villages across Raichur district on 4th July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening grassroots healthcare and improving maternal health outcomes.
The programme featured engaging and interactive sessions focused on the early identification and timely referral of high-risk pregnancies, management of common gynecological conditions, the benefits of laparoscopic gynecological surgery, and myth-busting discussions to address common misconceptions surrounding women’s health.
Participants were also introduced to the comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services available at Navodaya Hospital, including the newly launched affordable maternity packages. The sessions highlighted the support available for expectant mothers through the Madilu Kit and the ₹3,000 financial assistance provided by the S R Reddy Charitable Trust, ensuring accessible and quality maternal care.
The enthusiastic participation of ASHA workers, who actively shared field experiences, raised important questions, and engaged in meaningful discussions, reflected their dedication to serving the community and strengthening the healthcare system.
