Guest Lecture : Kidney Transplantation,at AV HALL 1,Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre
A special guest lecture titled “Saga of a Transplant Nephrologist” was organized by the Medical Education Unit of Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, in collaboration with API Raichur Branch, by 11AM, on May 10, 2025.
The event was attended by Faculty, Postgraduate students, CRMI Interns, Physicians, and Nephrologists.

Guest Speaker :
- Dr. Sundar Sankaran, Program Director, Aster Institute of Renal Transplantation, Bengaluru.
- He delivered an insightful lecture sharing his extensive experience of performing over 3,000 kidney transplants from the 1970s to the present.
- He also discussed the evolution of kidney transplantation, clinical challenges, advancements in Nephrology, and patient care over more than four decades.
Collegial Reflections:
- Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar of Navodaya Education Trust, shared personal anecdotes and professional experiences from his past tenure, alongside Dr. Sundar Sankaran, highlighting their collaborative contributions to Nephrology and transplantation.
